Pretty Days...

The rain has finally moved on and the temperatures yesterday were in the 70's.

We had a great practice and then just hung out and watched the kids play. They played ball by theirselves for about 30 minutes before (inevitably) one of them got hit in the face by the ball and died.

Well, maybe she didn't die, but you would have thought she may have.....

It was a beautiful evening and I enjoyed just watching them....

Life is good isn't it?

I always cringe when I see little kids playing sports. Good thing I don't have any kids; I'm pretty sure I couldn't handle it.

Joy - Why would you cringe? As an adult, I can't think of anything that is more fun than to watch my kids play something they are good at and enjoy. I make sure they know they're not being made to play and can quit at the end of any season and do something else it they prefer... And last night, when it's pretty, about 5 of them just played out on the field by theirselves and I got to watch them... It's so much fun!!!

As far as on getting hurt, that's just part of growing up. They get hurt and they get over it.

I do worry about them getting hurt. I think I would have been a totally overprotective parent and my kids would have been totally nuts.

LOL Joy, I worry too... especially with them throwing the ball at 4, 5, and 6 years old ( when Delaney played they rolled the ball to each other, so had more control) but the first thing I did was tell all the parents that I couldn't force them to buy them, but I STRONGLY suggested everyone get a game face...

If you look at the earlier post you'll see a game face on Scout. It keeps their little faces from getting hit!
